the Good Energy Fair Come celebrate solutions to global warming! Meet local experts and enjoy the food and activities while you learn to save energy, money and the planet. The Good Energy Fair is a lively, family-friendly event that encourages community and educates the neighborhood about the impacts of their energy use. The fair activities inspire simple actions each of us can take that will really make a difference in our neighborhood, state and the world. There will be stimulating people and activities and great giveaways such as: free bus passes, compact fluorescent bulbs, low flow faucet adapters, and useful bike accessories. The fair will be Carbon Neutral & a Zero Waste Event! Volunteers from the Southwest High School Green Team will be assisting sign-ups for the MN Energy Challenge throughout the day. This is the second year the City of Minneapolis has awarded a Minneapolis Community Climate Change Micro Grant to Linden Hills Park to make this event possible. Coffee Table Productions, a local ecoist group is partnering with the event host, Linden Hills Park/Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board to organize the fair. Many Local people and businesses help with the event and Xcel provides free CFL's to pass out to attendees.Come join-in and have fun while you help your mother earth!
