Gardening Matters is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and preserving community gardening across the Twin Cities by connecting gardeners to each other and to the communities in which they reside. We provide training and resources to support community gardeners in achieving community gardens that are successful and sustainable.

Global Citizens Network (GCN) sends small teams of volunteers to rural communities around the world where the volunteers are immersed in the daily life of the community. Trips last one to three weeks, depending on the site; each team is led by a trained GCN team leader. The team works on projects initiated by people in the local community, for the benefit of the community. As worthwhile and fulfilling as the work you do will be, the true rewards come from the cross-cultural learning which takes place on these trips, making connections to others in ways they may have never experienced before.

The Midtown Global Market is an internationally-themed public market featuring fresh and prepared foods, restaurants, and a selection of arts and crafts from around the world. We exist to develop and maintain a public market that builds upon the economic, social and cultural assets within the surrounding community and welcomes the diverse peoples of this community to share and celebrate together the healthy foods, arts, crafts and other aspects of their heritages

This regional version of the Bioneers national conference in CA features the Bioneers plenary speakers presented via DVD and workshops with regional experts. Conference participants also experience topic dialogues, networking opportunities, and interact with 30+ exhibitors.  Watch for the conference in the Fall of 2012.

Tricia & The Toonies perform a highly effective program in schools and communities with themes focusing on reducing, reusing, recycling, pollution prevention, water quality and conservation, natural resource conservation and more. They also create, write and produce theme songs as well as environmental education curriculum with skits and music to support your specific EE needs.
