Katrina applies her engineering training to such diverse problems as how to minimize household energy usage and experimental kitchen chemistry, never cooking anything the same way twice. Currently separated from the corporate world, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in her community and freelance writing. Katrina has been exploring simple and green living for many years in the drastically different climates of Arizona and Minnesota, and was an early adopter of composting, cloth bags, homemade cleaners, and xeriscape.
